Thassos is located only 40 minutes by ferry from continental Greece, near the town of Kavala. The island has many favorite resting place for the Bulgarians as the route from Sofia to Thassos is close to the Black Sea. Clean beaches and coastal cliffs and crystal (but quite salty) water with beautiful fish make a great place for sea. Colorful Greek tavernas, where usually you get sat down with ouzo jug of the house complement the pleasure of the rest of Thassos.
